How much distance is needed between red and black raspberries?

I've read that red raspberries can carry a disease that doesn't affect them but does harm black raspberries. How far apart do the reds and blacks need to be to prevent the transfer of this disease?

I don't know, I've had mine alternating in the patch in about 10-20 foot lengths for over 20 years without any problems.
