Twin Apple Trees

Posted by chilliwin 7 (My Page) on

I got an already sprouted apple seed inside a fresh apple. I sowed it in my chili plant container. Now it appeared two trees from one seed.

I am a bit hesitate to transplant it, I'd like them to grow a bit more. The information I am looking for here are:

When should I transplant it to another containers?
What kind of soil should I use?
How long it will take to get fruits from these plants?

Thanks in advance.

You could let it be or transplant both together one clump and let it grow for this season, next spring separate when dormant and untangle roots when quite tough, shaking all [loose] potting mix off, I do this allot when seeding.

It can take 6 to 10 years, most likely ending up with a crab apple, I do graft mine.
