My omega graft on wild black cherry

I grafted five bing scions last year to wild black cherry. Three died, one budded out green, and then died, and one took. It had small leafs, and grew no branches, but this year it has three buds that are starting to swell. I suspect it will probably die off this year but it was neat to do. I know from what I have read this hasn't worked in the past with other peoples grafting, but this graft seems to have gone further than what I have read about. Sorry the picture isn't in focus. I used a grafting tool to put it on. It makes the omega cut like in a jig saw puzzle.

Pretty exciting to get it to work at all! Compatability may be a problem, but at least you know that the method can work. Good luck and have fun.
