Finally plants are putting out some new growth. 3rd year plant. 2nd year in this 3.5 gallon pot. Need to get a bigger one obviously. But this boysenberry has 12 canes some reaching 8 feet. Impressive growth.

I dont tip them allthough you can. I had one tip root on one of the container plants. I Currently have 6 of them in pots. Once i get bigger containers should be plenty of berries from the growth ive seen.

I went ahead today and moved my boysenberry plants from pots into the ground, now that the frost is hopefully past. My boysenberries are getting ready to bloom in the next week and my Silvan and Black Diamond blackberries just starting blooming this weekend. I'm making an effort to move the remainder of my western trailing blackberries from pots to in ground locations. I'll probably still cover them up this winter though.
