| Remember my post on the problems with my Mutsu with the leaves turning brown and curling. The title was "Aphids?" I emailed Bill the owner of Johnson's Nursery in Elerjay, GA with the pictures. He involved his County Extension Agent and from the pictures and knowing the recent weather conditions he surmised'
GOLDEN DELICIOUS NECROTIC LEAF BLOTCH which also affects Mutsu since the Gold Del is a parent. It is always good to buy from a good nursery when you need help. I call that excellent service. Another matching symptom is it mostly effects leaves in the mid shoot. Another is cold days followed by hot days. It went from a low temperature one night of 39 then two days latter over 90. I thought y'all would find this interesting. |
