my aprium is a dud here in Califonia, as well. Sometimes these new varietals go to retail market only to make fame (for the breeder) and money. I have seen several in the last decade that turned out bad....as reported by many independent growers. Mostly growers try to pass newbies off as "low chill" to satisfy big markets like SoCal. We will see about the hyped aprium.

Mine is Flavor Delight, and the fruit was so good I crave more, but now it won't fruit.

The problem isn't in the tree itself but something that's causing it not to form fruit buds now.

My Flavor delight is three years in the ground. Going on it's fourth growing season. It had a couple of fruit last year after 400 chill hours. The tree won't even break dormancy this year after 150 chill hours. It has hardly produced anything for me.

I get plenty of fruit buds on mine. They mostly abort in the spring due to lack of chill.

Cot-n-Candy Aprium seems more adaptable to our warm weather. It doesn't set a lot of fruit but much better than Flavor Delight so far.

Flavor Delight does well in Phoenix. We get roughly 300-400 chill hours. My tree is loaded with fruit.
