simple grape trellis recommendation

Dont really want to built a vineyard or any fancy since i have a small yard and just a couple of grape vines(thompson and reliance), came across these at lowes and was wondering if anyone use these?

Charles,

You are zone 9? Where? If you are in the south the grapes you bought will die due to Pierces disease. Lowes, walmart, home depot all sell those bunch grapes in the south and it is just a complete ripoff of the consumer.

Far as your trellis......they will work to some degree especially with the bunch grapes but your harvest will be very small. It really isn't hard to put in a couple posts and stretch #9 wire between them for the grapes.

You should grow grapes on a wire. Put 3 posts in a line and string a 40 foot wire. If you are in the South the only grapes that will survive are muscadines or hybrids of muscadines.

Those aren't big enough. Figure about 8 feet and 2 strands per vine. That's 4 canes per plant 4' long.
