Freeze protection

If you have something like T-post on hand and can find the stretchy plastic like they use to hold things on shipping pallets then make a fence around what you want to protect then wrap with that plastic twice then cover the top with what ever you have. You may have to lay hay around the bottom of the plastic.

I bought a box of the stretchy plastic with handles a few years ago and it works well for this.
