Loquats reflowering.

The cold winter wiped out nearly all the tiny developing fruit on the many landscape loquats and several eating loquats around here. One "feral" tree on an abandoned lot intrigued me a few years ago by large loquats that went from mediocre to enjoyable as they further ripened. I noted today that it is throwing out a few flowers on a number of growing tips, right behind the new leaves.
It will be interesting to see if these develop fruit this late, and also to see if this is a lone such tree or if other trees are reflowering as well (my younger plants at home do not seem to be).
