Hi everyone!

It's been really cold in NYC and I received my strawberry plants about a month ago so I haven't planted them until now. I followed the instructions to keep them moist-ish and sheltered from light in a cool area, but when I opened them up to pot today, there was white fuzz - mold? - everywhere! They were brown, slimy, and mushy. :( I trimmed off the parts of the crown(?) and the surrounded mushiness and then proceeded to pot them up. Do they have a chance of growing?

They are June Bearing Earliglow strawberries btw.

I'm relatively new to gardening so any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!
