Longitudinal cracks in peach branches...?

I have a "Garnet Beauty" peach tree that was planted in 2007. It has produced nicely for a few years now.

I went out recently to look at/prune it, and noticed a couple of the bigger branches (4-6" diameter) have cracks on them, running *along* the length of the branch.

The cracks are probably 18" to 24" long. They're only barely wide enough to get a thumbnail into.

Should I be concerned about these cracks? If they're a problem or potential problem, what if anything can be done to address it?
