I keep thinking about a planting a Honey Crisp but not if they go mushy in the heat. Anybody know?

I don't even like Honeycrisp much lately in southeastern NY. It doesn't develop much flavor when it's too warm at ripening which it has been for 2 consecutive seasons here. For you it would be ripening in early August, probably, so I can't imagine the quality would be good.

I will drop it off my fall planting then. So many good apples to choose from anyway. Thanks for the reply.
