| Two questions:
1. If the scion is not fully dormant,i.e. the buds are breaking out a little, can the graft still take? 2. What if the buds of the scion are swelling and yellowing a bit? |

| Ramble, Last spring I got some Asian pear scionwoods's buds swelling and the graft still took. I would recommend you graft it as soon as possible. Tony |

| It can take, one time I have cut a scion when the leaves were just out slightly and it took. I babied the graft by wrapping loosely parafilm tape and shaded the graft. |
