Crossing my fingers!

They are giving a low of 28 here hopefully it stays a couple of degrees warmer like it usually does. My johnson plums, spring satin trees have dropped petals amd I have one yellow delicious apple and my blueberries are blooming! The apple was mulched heavy, if that is going to force them early I won't be mulching stone fruits anyway.....maybe learned a lesson here. How much of a difference does painting the trunk make, none of my trees are painted but I am planning to do it.

28 should be OK for what you mention. Just hope it doesn't get a few degrees colder! I got down to 29F last night and got no damage I can see.

Imagine my surprise when I looked out to see snow this morning- after planting some bare root raspberries last night!

29 - 30 I'm OK...I think!

I hit 28F early this morning but so far all of the uncovered berry plants look ok. Trailing blackberries were covered up though. Blueberries just started blooming but seem OK. I was worried about my Oauchita blackberries which are 80% leafed out, earlier than the rest of the erect and semi-erect blackberries.
