theyve been doing this a while now and i thought it was because they were too young at first but now as they older only a couple make it to full size and acually bloom. ive only had 4 mature females and 1 successful pollination. i thought it was pests at first but i got rid of them. anyone have any idea what it is ?

the leaves are large and im sure they require a lot of energy. should i water more?

Any chance on getting a picture? Zone?? If they aren't wilted they have enough water. I know they require a lot of food. How's your fertilizing?? Muskmelon females can be a bit fickle about getting fertilized. One out of five isn't a horrible ratio but it should be better. My window here in Z5 for fertilizing melons is a small one. If they don't set fruit in the first wave which lasts a couple of weeks or so, it's pretty much a done deal.
