Working on design for raised planting beds. Hoping I'll actually be able to grow blueberries.

I own a granite shop and have access to polished granite slab material cheap or free, mostly darker colors. Have been considering wrapping the sides and top ledge of the raised bed with granite.

Question is if the stone will heat the soil in the raised bed too much. Granite slabs in direct sunlight, even relatively light colors, can get hot to the touch from solar heating.

Is the heating a deal breaker for using the stone?
