transplant apple tree in bloom??

I bought a Macoun tree at a local nursery a few weeks ago and was planning to transfer it from the nursery pot (maybe 10-12" diameter) to something larger, maybe a 15 gal smartpot. I have little space and little sun so most of my (mini) dwarf trees are in smartpots. Never got around to repotting the Macoun and now the tree is covered in flower buds. I don't want to shock it by replanting now and risk the flowers/apples but I also worry that the current pot with limited soil and nutrients cannot really sustain fruit production. -- And yes, I'm hoping to get some fruit from the tree this year. Not planning on thinning all that much or taking most of the fruit off that survives June drop. I don;t mind the tree being biennial.

Should I transplant now or wait until fall? if I wait, do I need to fertilize the tree in the nursery container? when?

thanks in advance! love how newbies like me can profit from the decades of experience from the experts on the forums!
