Yikes already!? Seems like I used to begin spraying in Amarillo about this time. Down here there usually aren't enough to worry about. And if they do show up we have a plan, starve them out with an annual freeze.

Yep Fruitnut, already. Looking at my temp data for the last week plus is a little interesting when looking the highs and lows for the days and going to the chart provided by UC I seldom accumulate any degree days because it either got too hot or cold for the 24 hr periods but I'm catching moths during those periods. The sunset temps have pretty consistently reached at least 62 so it makes sense the moths are flying. I just can't figure out yet when peak flight will be/is. The subsequent egg hatch would be based on the accumulated DD from biofix.

One source states that peak flight is about 2 weeks after full bloom and that the eggs develop in 8 - 14 days so that the 1st cover should be applied 8 - 14 days after petal fall. All of that is no doubt temperature dependent.

Sure is a bugger figuring this stuff out. I even tried too look up a good pic of what a sting looks like on young fruit like mine is now about 1/4" diameter or less, no luck.
