I need help identifying a tree in my yard. I originally thought it was a peach tree due to the shape of the leaves, but now I wonder if it might be a cherry. The fruit is not fuzzy, and it grows from a green stem, instead of growing right on the tree branch. I cut one of the young fruits opened and there is a white tear drop shape "pit" inside. The tree bloomed light pink, and had a very sweet smell. It is a short tree, maybe 9 feet tall. There are only two to three fruit in a cluster though, but could that be because it is an older tree? I have pictures but I don't know how to upload them from my phone.
