You should have fruit after they bloom, blooming means fruit.
|
They ripen for me about 4 to 6 weeks after peak bloom, depending upon the weather, longer if its been cool to cold.

I noticed today that my honeyberry (Haskap) plants had ripe berries (blue colour). I had boticed bloom at the end of April (or around that time). I tasted some but were not sweet enough yet. I will wait a couple of more days. My plants are close to a tall spruce tree and not growing well and some branches are drying up. A warm week in mid March followed by very cold temperature (-10C one night) caused apricot, apple and some sweet cherries not to show any bloom so there will be no fruits this year. So I should cherish the honeyberries.

I didn't like my honeyberries the first couple of years until I learned to let them hang for weeks after turning blue. Then they are sweeter with more berry flavor and less bitter or sour.
