More likely to be aphids inside that curled leaf. Take a look.

Thanks for the images. Unfortunately, I've not seen that sort of damage previously. Yes, the leaves are curled, but not due to a cause I know.

Suggest you send the images to your county's Extension Service office. If the damage is environmental -- as in a late cold spell -- or a local disease, they're more than likely to know.

Frost damage?

thanks everyone, now that you mentioned frost damage, that might be possible. i didnt know frost would do this kind of damage. but in last 3 weeks we had pretty hard frost, down to 15F for 2 or three nights and cold days then followed by couple really warm days and than back to freezing again. this cycle happened once a week for past three weeks. when the first cycle happened, i could already see some leaves appearing and flowers too.

Frost can do similar agenda if it occurs during the time the leaf bud is unfaltering and the leaf is expanding.

ok, that must be it then. i assume i do nothing about this right?
