Any fig growers that get a breba crop from your potted figs? About when does your first crop ripen?

Thanks

RE: Breba figs for Z6?

Yes, they start forming as soon as the buds break. They take most of the summer to ripen. Earliest I've had them ripen is about mid August, and that was a couple of years ago when we had the hottest July on record for Detroit. Generally, its more around Labor Day, and it pretty much coincides with the start of ripening of the main crop from the new growth, and those ripen into October IF they ripen at all. My in-ground figs only survive as roots, so don't make a breba crop. And, some years, if its cool to cold during the summer, NONE ripen.

Obviously, the further south you are, the more heat units you get, the earlier and better crop you will have.
