My 'dead' peach is alive

ACN sent me a Blushingstar peach that I figured was dead. The 2 other peaches they sent have both set a fruit or 2 and are completely leafed out...Now today I see this:

I guess patience is needed before declaring something dead.

That's great it's not dead! Maybe the variety just takes a long time to wake up. I'm rooting cuttings of three different varieties of grape vine, and two varieties have little leaves already. The last just look like dead sticks, but I can see roots forming from the bottom of the pots. I guess mine aren't dead, either.

Frank, in your photo there are webs on your tree. Are those spider mites? thanks Mrs. G

I think its just cobwebs from spiders...I guess I've never seen any issue with spider mites, except for in the house during the winter they can get bad on certain plants.

Frank, peaches occasionally do that. I have had a few start to wake up and then change their mind so be very nice to that tree for the next few weeks!

That's good to hear! I have some raspberries that were dormant when I got them, and still are. It's been two months. :^(

I was sure my new Harglow apricot was dead, so I ordered another one to replace it. By the time the replacement arrived, I saw growth on the orginal tree. Now I have two Harglows, but neither of them set fruit to speak of.
