I purchsed a Spring Satin Plumcot and a Shiro plum tree from a local nursery, and shortly after a hard, late frost, I now have defoliation and brown remnants of foliage clinging to partially defoliated branches.

The tips of the tree are just fine, at least 18" down on all scaffolds.

What is up with that? Freeze damage, or can disease have an impact already?

2 year old trees planted from 5gal pots in April.
