Valentines cherry tree

Last year the landscapers told us they gave us an ornamental cherry tree. This excited me within itself as i. Was excited to see the blossoms. I then read the info to find it produces fruit! I am so excited as not many fruit producing trees survive here (zone 3). Does anyone know if it will produce this year? It is about 7-8 feet tall.

If it will flower this year and flowers don't freeze at night then you can have hopes.
