That is very nice looking fruit. I hope they will sell the tree in the US. I will give it a try.

Looks like they crossed a red-skinned Euro pear with an asian pear. Clever idea.

This is nothing new. There was a farmer in New Jersey who was doing this 20 years ago. The fruit was fantastic. I used to work with someone who lived nearby and they would bring in the fruit. They even called it the same exact thing, papples.
