I'm getting the itch to purchase a pair of plum trees, but we're planning on moving within the next year so anything I buy will need to be potted for a while. I was thinking an Alderman Plum and a Superior Plum (http://www.gurneys.com/product/alderman_plum_tree). Both reportedly grow to 10-12 ft for semi-dwarf and are good pollinators for each other.

Is it possible to keep these potted for a year or two before planting in the ground? What size pot would I need if that is something that would work?
