Latham is probably one of the oldest June bearers there is.It is a summer only bearer.So you won't get any berries this year.When they are finished next summer,you prune they out.

Canby is also a summer bearer same as Latham.It is a newer variety from Canada.Both are very hardy.

With Heritage you have the choice of a fall crop only, or letting them bear fruit again next summer on the bottom of the cane.That's what I do.Why prune in fall and lose half your crop?

I'm no expert but I have seen some varieties cross pollinate. That's how a friend of mine ended up with "light pink" raspberries :) But, I haven't seen it with same type raspberries.

You have 2 different acting types. the Heritage is the type I like. It is a type that produces berries every year on every living cane. Both of your new ones grow the cane on year one then fruit on year two. I only have the first style and don't want the second.

My heritage does great. This year I added Caroline and a more rare one called Roseanne. I have them in 3 different places so if any of the three is especially awesome or bad I could dig out all of a variety.

On the heritage; A new cane grows in ther spring and fruits in the fall. Then in the winter you clip them off below the fruiting part and they will fruit in early summer then cut away the fruited part again and it will fruit in the fall. The third year that cane is dead.

I agree with the above,which is what I said.Only difference is that I prune the top of the everbearers in the spring.Easy then because you prune off anything above where it leaves out.Usually a third or so down from the top.
