plum compatability

I have multitudes of wild plum growing on the farm. Would they be compatible to graft either european or japanese plums to?

Japanese plum should work on wild plum. European plum is often graft-incompatible, it may grow for awhile but then peter out.

I wonder if there is a suitable interstem for Euro on Japanese/American or Hybrid? I'd love to try it if there was....

Wild plums make excellent pollinators, from what i've read from research done in MN... but that was on hybrids...so...who knows :)
