I have multitudes of wild plum growing on the farm. Would they be compatible to graft either european or japanese plums to?

RE: plum compatability

Japanese plum should work on wild plum. European plum is often graft-incompatible, it may grow for awhile but then peter out.

RE: plum compatability

I wonder if there is a suitable interstem for Euro on Japanese/American or Hybrid? I'd love to try it if there was....

Wild plums make excellent pollinators, from what i've read from research done in MN... but that was on knows :)
