| Hi, Does any one here have experience on growing the Arctic Beauty kiwi vine for fruit. How does the fruit taste(compared to other hardy kiwis)? How long does it take to fruit? Will the male arctic beauty pollinate anana kiwi or pilosula kiwi? |

| Hi Fruity.. Arctic Beauty is the male so won't have fruit. You'll need a female variety of Kolomitka. I find Kolomitka kiwiI to be similar in taste but maybe sweeter than the Issai kiwi. They usually flower fairly quickly. The potted ones I bought originally were flowering when I bought them and were not that large. If the Anana your are referring to is an Arguta kiwi (Ananasnaya) then the arctic beauty will not pollinate it because the blooms will not overlap. I've never heard of pilosula kiwi before but after looking that up it appears is a male variety??? Looks very interesting though. Tyler |
