June Bearing Strawberries

Posted by GeorgeneSchreiner 5a ( on

This year in my sister's garden, some of stems on her June bearing strawberries became deformed with thick curly sections on their stems. Those plants still had strawberries, but she is concerned that perhaps the plants are diseased and she should remove that section of the strawberry patch before it spreads.

Does anyone have an idea what is going on?

RE: June Bearing Strawberries

I think that can be a sign of verticulum wilt. I would do a google search on that for a start.
