Are there any databases out there that can ID a pest (insect, bacterial, fungal) by way of its photograph; something like a "face recognition" system for identifying pests via their picture? . Upload the photo and get an i.d. or at least a list of targeted educated guesses. Just a thought for some enterprising whiz kid programmer who aspires to be the next billionaire. Mike

Enterprising kids don't do such work. I haven't looks for any of those but there are several good tree identification questionnaires that ask the basics of a leaf from a tree that you want to identify in leading you to the tree specie.

Agro.. Those I am aware of. I was thinking of uploading a photo and have the program i.d. the pest or disease, just like the music app that can i.d. a song from a few notes. Mike
