This question comes up ad nauseum, and really, an entire new topic could be dedicated to this one topic....

There are a few ways to skin this cat. The easiest way is just to post a link to your picture that people can copy and paste. For example:

By copying and pasting that URL into your browser, you see the picture

Option #2 - Link a photo to the post

By using simple HTML, you can use a clickable link to a photo by using the tag (w.o the asterisk) Using the same picture from above, you can make a link thusly:

......

where the dots indicate the text you want to appear. The line will look similar to this:

Trellis cukes picture

By removing the asterisks, you get this: {{gwi:66700}}

where the "Trellis cukes pictures" is now clickable

Option #3 - Embedding pictures

The best option because your picture will show up right in the post. Another HTML tag (img src) is used for this.

The code is this:

your picture's url>. For our example we would use the following:

Important to note here that no closing tag is needed as there is in an a href tag. (ie, no )

Again, remove the asterisk

Option 4 - Link at the bottom of the post

Use the two fields at the bottom of the "Post your message" box

Wow, Bomber's answer was awesome. There's just one thing left out. In order to post the picture here, you have to upload your picture to a website like Photobucket, your own website, or a Gardenweb picture forum. In the examples above, Bomber had photos posted on Photobucket. If you post your pictures on a site that doesn't automatically give you the picture's URL address (like Photobucket does), just left click on the image and "copy image location".
