| A few years after planting a vine we finally have grapes coming in. They started growing but I just saw many of them starting to look like the picture. What is this and how can I fix it? Thanks DJF PS- when do you know they are ready to Pick? |

| It could be black rot. Fire up the google and see if looks similar. Did you spray anything (fungicides) on the vines? Grapes in VA pretty much require fungicide sprays every 10 days or 2 weeks from bud break on. The sprays are preventitive. They won't do anything once the grapes/vines are infected, but they'll stop them from getting infected in the first place. Sadly, if you haven't sprayed anything yet, you probably won't get any grapes to ripen before they succumb. |
