Changing Wild Blackberry Flavor

I have a healthy patch of wild blackberries. They really put out a bunch of fruit this year. But the fruit was bitter. Is there something I can do to them or the soil that would improve the flavor? Or do I need to try and kill them off and plant something alittle better in their spot?

Sounds like you have a bitter variety, I don't know what you can do to fix that besides make wine from them.

Were they sweet in other years? Can you post a picture?

No they have never been sweet. I'll try to get a picture.
