I've seen shriveling berries when the soil was way too dry. Also when the plant was dying from stem blight.

How does the plant look? Any leaves drying up? Have you watered and how much rain?

Thanks for the reply Fruitnut. We have gotten plenty of rain this year here in PA. In addition, I have been attempting to get more growth on my 5 blueberry bushes by mixing 1 tablespoon ammonium sulfate to 4 gallons water per bush once a week. My soil tested very acidic (4.5), so that shouldn't be the problem. The older leaves are lush green, the newer leaves are light green but quite healthy. I have used horse compost/stall pine shaving waste as a mulch. Maybe I should supplement the mulch with pine needles, which are laying around in piles on my property.

At 4.5, you should probably use urea rather than AS.

3/4 teaspoon per gallon is a pretty high rate. I use about 1/4 teaspoon per gallon.

I think I may have stumbled upon what ails my blueberries after researching the problem. Its called mummy berry disease. The description of it had something that I believe directly matches my situation: the berries turn a pinkish color before shriveling and falling off. I have never used a fungicide before on the blueberries, but will be next spring!
