Let me preface this post by saying that I am new to gardening in the South (Charlotte). I tried to choose plants that were described as having few or no pest problems. Well, I am having pest problems on almost everything I planted - blackberry, fig, persimmon, serviceberry. I already posted my woes about the serviceberry and the figs, so I'll stick to my blackberry bush here. Photos coming.

Your picture is a bit out of focus but blackberry rust fungus has 'pustules' on the underside of leaves. Could also be a variety of mildew. Likely one of those 2 fungi.

Not living aphids, those would concentrate only on underside of tender new leaves or in the growing tip of the blackberry cane where leaves have not unfurled yet. Photos too blurry. White objects could be moults, the whitish shed exoskeletons of insect nymphs on their way to adulthood. Since it is on both sides of the leaves, perhaps a non-insect, like the fungi mentioned above.

Thanks. I will send photos that are more clear. I appreciate the feedback. I am deleting the blurry photos.
