It looks more like one of those diseases (such as fireblight) you have to stay on top of to keep fruit looking good but to expect some loss or loss in attractiveness. But the import thing is to not leave amplifying material on the ground or on the tree. Bag and toss or burn.

FN, FB is often lethal no matter how you handle it- it's one of only two diseases that has outright killed young and vigorous trees I was managing- actually the other one didn't actually finish any trees off but required so much work I cut them down- that was black knot on a couple of Methely plums.

VM a photo would be useful as well as region- diagnostics via internet are tricky. Lots of things put shot holes in leaves, even Captan.
