| I understand that summer is regarded as the best time for pruning to control height and to also encourage full fruit production. But what time specifically in the summer is the best time for pruning? One of my newly planted J. plum trees is branching outward a lot and it has gotten pretty tall. |

| Now? I think anytime that they start to grow (April?) until mid summer (mid/late July?) is the best time to prune stonefruit. |
