| I bought this tree last year in February from Home Depot. It was a 3-1 with Santa Rosa, Satsuma and Italian Plum. Home depot had ALOT of bare root fruit trees of all kinds on sale for %75 off, so I figured what could I lose? I bought this tree for $6... Well, this year, a year after planting, the Santa Rosa and Satsuma have produced MANY plums. The Santa Rosa had only 4 but the Satsuma has over 10. For a tree that cant be more than 3-4 years old, I think thats pretty good huh for such a young plum tree? The Santa Rosa plums all fell off the tree and I go out and pick them up and wash them off...WOW! So juicy and sweet! They are small, only about the size of golf balls but man are they good! The satsumas are still ripening.. I will cut the Italian because I will never get the required chill hours here :( It broke my heart but I figured the rest of the tree could use the energy...Ill post some pictures when I can I want to thank everyone for their help around here!! Thank You everyone! |
