| When I got this tree on the tag it said it was an Orient. Can any one identify this by the picture if so all help would be appreciated. |

| I'm pretty sure no one can identify pears down to the variety based simply on a picture like above. If you had photos of the tree and close-ups of the leaves and the fruit, and if you had recorded relative bloom time and relative fruit maturity, and if you maybe had brix readings and could describe other characteristics of the fruit, plus maybe some other things, then I suspect a lifelong pear enthusiast might be able to make a pretty good guess, especially if he knew when and where the tree was purchased. Perhaps more to the point, if it was sold as an Orient, why are you doubting that it's an Orient? |
