Ripe Anna Apples

Here is a good picture of ripe Anna apples. The small brown spot is from hail damage. Notice the nice pink blush. If you wait for more blush then the apples start getting mushy. The best way to tell is pick and eat.

If you can grow Anna and Golden Dorsett in your area, you want regret the choice.

Anna is good fresh eating, canning and baking. They hold there shape and flavor very well.

The Dorsett is really just fresh eating.

It would be nice if everyone posted pictures of their ripe apples.

The Anna makes killer pies; you can smell it baking a block away.
