| We just moved to a new home and believe this is an apricot tree? Are we correct? Also, should the fruits have this orange rust coloring on them or is that something that needs to be corrected? Thanks, |

| Definitely not an apricot. The orange stuff is a fungus disease called rust. |

| It's a callery pear. They stick in the spring, a bit like Chinese Boxwood and the fruit isn't 'good'. Many localities consider it a nuisance tree and advice cutting any you have down. That costs money though. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyrus_calleryana |
