| Scale, a massive infestation. You need to do something about that ASAP, they can kill the tree with toxins they excrete as they feed. Probably some kind of horticultural oil spray AND a soil drench of imadicloprid (Merit, Bayer Advanced Tree and Shrub/Bayer Advanced Fruit and Vegetable all contain this as the active ingredient). |
