new potted mango

hi
2 months ago, I bought a cogshall mango that is grafted to a turpintine rootstock. At first the plant dropped some leaves which i figure is normal for a plant that has been transported. then the mango plant had a growth spurt and shot up about 6inches. now some of the lower leaves are beginning to yellow. does this sound like the normal growth pattern or is the plant getting over or under watered? thanks.

Mangotango, I believe yellow leaves typically indicate over watering but the mango growers hang out on the Tropical Fruits Forum and are better able to answer your questions. I've turned to them many times and I'm sure they'll be glad to help you out. Good luck!
