| I planted a bare-root Methley plum 2 yr ago, and it has grown vigorously to approximately 6-7 ft tall. This is the third spring it's leafed out, and it still hasn't put out so much as one flower, much less any fruit. A Toka plum I planted this spring as a bare-root tree actually put out half a dozen blossoms already.
So, is it normal that Methley plums are slow to flower and fruit, or is there something wrong with my tree? |

| It's too young to worry about this. |

| Plums are slow, wait for year 3 or 4 to get a couple of plums. Year 5 or 6 for a lot of plums. It will change a bit depending on rootstock. For quicker results peaches are faster. |
