My two Contender peaches froze out this winter, but the rootstock is sending up shoots. Anyone know what peaches are typically grafted onto? I am considering letting them go if it is something worthwhile, otherwise I will dig them out. I got them from Bailey's Nursery last spring.

Lovell seems common. I cut back a Hunza on Citation just about to soil level hoping it sends up new shoots to graft onto..

Whatever it was, it survived and likely isn't to blame for your tree's death. Get shoots and graft to them!
