fire blight on apple tree

My apple trees are about 5-6 years old, and this is the first year I have seen fire blight on them. See picture.

Question: Is it worth the time to prune off all of the dead blighted branches, or do I just need to treat next year early?

Unfortunately, I have learned today that my three varieties are all "highly susceptible" varieties: Fuji, Gala, and Jonathan. Ugh!

Should I start over with the more resistant types if I don't want to use too many chemicals.
