My older berry bushes seem to grow to long and can't support there selves very well and now with the berries filling out they need tied up. Does anyone have any advice on this issue? Can I somehow keep them shorter? I 've been pruning regularly late winter. Can I prune after berrry season is over?

interesting question...I can see where the plants can get very leggy and lay over.

Mine doing same and I tied them up just a few days ago. I took some wooden stakes about 4' long and drove them into the ground on either side of the plant and then tied the low branches to the stake. I will untie them once I harvest. RM

Some tips can be pinched off on some of the more vigorous shoots and that will start more laterals going. Here's a link to an earlier post with a similar subject. Brady
