That could be Star. The big berries in the top photo are more a product of pruning than a variety characteristic. On my Star there are both types, top and bottom photo. I was just out looking at my plant and trying to figure out how I got those huge berries with the "dinner plate" size calyx. They're on those shoots that to me are part vegetative and part floral. No leaves on the shoot, just those huge berries. Getting these huge berries is at least in part how and when the plant is pruned.

I thinned off at least half the berries mostly by taking off the small shoots that give small berries, more like the bottom photo. My Star fruit is amazing this yr. By far the best ever.

Is your plant very upright? Star is. I'll post a photo tomorrow, too dark now.

Thanks fruitnut.I haven't pruned these since owning them though.I want to let them grow out more.The berries could be some kind of unusual genetic thing.The growth habit is more like Sunshine Blue,with a lot of small canes shooting out of the crown.
I do have a Star.It is more tall and lanky.It is fruiting for the first time.Both plants have very similar leaves,which leads me to think that the mystery one is a Southern Highbush.
